Piecing
Paper
Piecing with “Stitch N Wash®”
saves you a lot of time by eliminating the task of tracing the
pattern onto muslin or paper. This method lets the copy machine/inkjet
printer do the work for you. The stabilizer gives you a firm yet
flexible foundation to stitch on to and is much better for your
machine than paper. “Stitch
N Wash®” stabilizer has silicone within it making
it needle friendly!

1)
Select a paper or foundation piece pattern from your favorite
book or magazine. Cut the pattern out and lay it face down on
a copy machine or scan it into your favorite graphics software.
2)
Cut a piece of “Stitch N Wash®”
stabilizer 8 ½” wide x 11" long and place it
in the paper feeder tray on top of several pieces of paper for
better feeding. Copy the pattern onto the stabilizer. *Note –
some copiers have the ability to duplicate the pattern several
times on the same sheet saving you even more time!

3) Follow directions for construction of the paper pieced block
as suggested. After the block is completed, tear away as much
of the stabilizer as possible from the stitching lines. The remaining
stabilizer will disappear in the wash leaving a beautiful soft
quilt square!
